deep, fun, and easy
meeting the stones in our life
the words of sister/friend/teacher and shaman Quanita Wind Warrior Roberson keep echoing in my bones, spilling out into words that echo in the ether:
when all is in alignment, it is deep, fun, and easy.
what a life! deep, fun, and easy.
easy is the key for me.
life gives us obstacles, stones along the way. the moving waters of life must navigate these stones. the question for us is how we relate to these stones.
do we brace against them? hold onto them as perceived safety, the current moving so fast and wild? do we curse them? do we thrash against them?
do we become the stones, growing harder and resistant to the changing tides in our life?
easy comes when we become instead the water. softening, allowing, letting go of the impulse to harden, constrict, brace. can we loosen our grip and be moved?
the stones come in all sizes: pebbles, boulders, mountains. some take more time, more patience to navigate. in the end, they all ask the same of us: to listen to the stories and wisdom they hold, asking for loving attention, asking to be washed over with the cleansing waters of forgiveness and reconciliation.
the stones are our bones. the waters, our life blood. we are the stones and waters.
the outer reflects the inner.
we are offered mirrors to see ourselves more fully in our own becoming.
the stones become allies. invitations to heal. when we can relate to them in this way, there is ease in our living. life is happening not to us but for us. we can join the flow of life, letting go of what no longer serves and moving into what is waiting down the stream.
we can be carried into the ocean: deep, fun, and easy.
may our travels be this. deep, fun, and easy. it is a joyful, wonderful, wild ride. beyond our imaginations!
i love you.
